April Snows? 4/20/08
OMG! We woke up to huge flakes coming down this morning. Mom says that's unusual enough for the Seattle area, but in April, it's unheard of. While she was stressing over the peonies, I was having fun.
My cousins Archer and Hunter are here still and this was the first time they had seen the white stuff too. It's amazing how cool it smells and it tastes great!
Yesterday was boring. We slept in our pens all day - dad's gone and mom had some knitting retreat. I think I'm going to get a sweater out of the deal though. She visited an alpaca farm. These are sure strange looking creatures. Maybe next time she'll bring one home. Is it just me, or do they look like they're smiling? Hmm, I wonder if they fetch.
Well, it's nap time, gotta run.

April 9, 2008 - How It All Began
I've been really busy learning manners, so couldn't get back before now. Here is a picture taken the morning after I was born - well extracted actually. My mom kept our humans up most of the night and she had to have a c-section. They didn't get any sleep really. But I got loads and ate even more. I got so fat the first 3 weeks, my humans were worried I wouldn't be able to stand up and walk. But I proved them wrong. I had my first outside experience at 4.5 weeks and they made me a little sweater from an old wool sock - it was way cold outside.
My humans tell me I'm pretty smart. I learned how to use the dog door when I was only 6 weeks old. Boy were they happy about that.
Well, I gotta run. I have two small cousins - Archer and Hunter both 8 weeks old. They are looking for homes, so I won't get to play with them very much longer. This is Archer, he and I love golf balls. Talk at you later.

I'm sort of new to this technology thing, but I'm sure I'll get the hang of it. I plan on telling you all about Dachshunds and my family. For now, I have a nap to take, so I'll be back later. If you want to learn more about Cedarcroft Dachshunds check us out here.
